A Manly brawl

President Faure Gnassingbé is in Kozah, since Saturday, where starts the 2011 edition of Evala, traditional wrestling, has been given in several cantons. This meeting is the first step of initiation of the young Kabye. It is characterized by hot grabbing wrestlers aged between 18 and 21, all refereed by traditional leaders who are holders of traditional customs.

Warlike people, the Kabyes have always lived in a hostile environment where courage, endurance and stoicism are the cardinal virtues to face life and adversity.

Eval is the symbol of this culture, this fighting spirit which the young are called to appear brave and worthy of his community.

The struggles will end July 23.
