ASKO leads halfway through Togo's football championship

With 30 points in the kitty, ASKO football club took the lea d in Togo's national first-division football championship after all first-leg matches had been completed last weekend.

ASKO beat TAC 2-0 to top the 16-team league table with 30 points, just one point ahead of second-placed Maranatha (29). Here are results of the weekend matches

ASKO beat TAC 2-0

Gomido beat US Masseda 1-0

AS Togo port lost 0-3 to AC Merlan

AS Togotelcom lost 0-2 to Maranatha

Etoile filante lost 0-2 to Kotoko

US Koroki beat Foadan 1-0

Sémassi drew 0-0 with - Abou Ose

AS Douanes drew 1-1 with Dyto

2nd - Maranatha 29 pts (+8),
