After months of suspense, the French government decided, on Thursday, not to renew Anne Lauvergeon as the head of Areva that she leaded for 11 years, choosing current chief operating officer of a nuclear giant, Luc Oursel to succeed him.
At 51, Ms. Lauvergeon still wanted to continue working as the head of the group formed by a merger in 2001 of Framatome and Cogema, a merger she oversaw.
Anne Lauvergeon is a member of Togo Presidential Investment Advisory Council (TPIAC), the investment created in March 2011 by the President of Togo Faure Gnssingbé to direct the authorities on strategic investment.
