The President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbé, arrived in Addis Abeba on saturday.He will take part to the African Union (AU) Summit on Sunday and Monday.
The Summit will discuss the profund evolutions in Africa (Tunisia, Libya, Egypt) and the ongoing conflicts in Darfur and Somalia.
Togo is a non-permanent member of the UNSC and it will preside it starting February 1st.
As such, there will be discussions concerning issues that directly concern the UN : South Sudan, Darfur, Somalia, instability in the Sahel. He will also hold talks with Ban Ki-Moon, the secretary-general of the UN.
