Faure salutes 150 years of Italian unity

President Faure Gnassingbé sent a congratulatory message to President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano (photo), on Wednesday, on the occasion of the National Day of his country on Thursday, which coincides with the 150th anniversary of the Italian national unity . In this message, the Head of State expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes for health and happiness to President Napolitano and more progress and prosperity to the Italian people. He paid tribute to the courage and vision of the patriots who gave birth to the Italian nation.
"I also take this opportunity to tell you how much I welcome the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries which should be strengthened."

The president of Togo assured his counterpart of his firm determination "to continue to work with you and with the Italian government to further strengthen our relationships and expand to all areas of common interest for the greater good of our friendly people."
