Faure Gnassingbé received Abdoulie Janneh (photo), the deputy secretary general of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa, on Tuesday.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Addoulie said he discussed the means to enhance socio-economic development in the UEMOA countries, with the President, of which Togo is a member.
He also welcomed the reforms undertaken by Togo to revive its economy. "The indicators inspire optimism for the coming years. The key areas are the Autonomous Port of Lomé and the mines that are being restructured, " said the Secretary-General.
