Togo Telecom, provider of Internet access (ADSL) was able to partially restore the connections, on Wednesday, by buying bandwidth from Nigeria. But problems remain in the fiber optic cable that serves Benin, the regular supplier ISP for Togo.
An anchor damaged the cable off the coasts of Benin and the boat capable of carrying out the repairs will not be in the area for a week.
Traffic could remain disrupted in the coming days.
