The new World Bank resident representative in Togo, Hervé Assah, on Tuesday met President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe with their discussions focusing the West African country's economy.
Mr Assah, who is a Congolese, met President Gnassingbe after signing a financing agreement between the World Bank and Togo to boost the country's economy and improve governance.
The US$16.3 million grant was approved for Togo in Washington on 20 May by the Bank's board of governors.
