President Faure Gnassingbé inaugurated the new headquarters of Togo Telecom, on Thursday in Lomé. A project that had taken nearly seven years to materialize. The building, located in Lomé II near GTA, is much more functional than the old building downtown. General management and related services will actually take possession within a month.
Expanding with services like ADSL and soon TriplePlay (internet, TV and telephone with a single subscription), the public operator was required to have headquarters worthy of the name and much more space.
This inauguration confirms Lomé II as the business district and political nerve center having a presence of large companies, several ministries, the Prime Minister's cabinet, President's Palace and several embassies (U.S., China in particular).
