An important Togolese delegation is expected in Munich on Thursday, to participate in the Economic Day hosted by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Munich and Upper Bavaria.
Prime Minister Gilbert Houngbo and the Minister for ommerce, Séléagodji Ahoomey Zunu will be present to discuss ongoing reforms in Togo and development challenges.
Fifty businessmen from Togo will also travel with their Cheif Jonathan Fiawoo, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Togo.
Historically, Bavaria has had strong relations with Togo, but economic relations plummeted in the early 90s with the socio-political crisis. It now goes back to the conquest of a very prosperous Länder.
Many German MNCs are from this region, such as BMW, MAN, Adidas, Puma and Quelle.
