The President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbé, has arrived in NYC at 6PM (11PM GMT). On Tuesday, he shall preside an important debate at the UNSC focused on insecurity in Africa. Togo presides the council since the beginning of the month.
The Togolese delegation that is accompanying him is notably made of up of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elliott Ohi, of the Minister of Planification, Dédé Ahoéfa Ekpoué, of the Minister of Social Action and National Solidarity, Memounatou Ibrahima, of the Minister of Telecommunications Cina Lawson and of the Minister of Development, Victoire Dogbé Tomegah.
The head of state will hold talks on Tuesday morning, prior to the debate, with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and he will then host the 15 members of the UNSC for lunch.
