Initially scheduled to occur from March 15th to the 24th, an additional week has been added for the electoral census. This will allow every voter to get registered, and to get the new electoral card. The main challenge that the agents of the National Independent Electoral Commission face is to deal with occasionally important amounts of people.
This time around, the majority of the politicians support the process, except for certain political parties that have not yet clearly stated whether they would take part in the elections (legislatives and locals) or not.
The purpose of this operation, conducted by the Electoral Commission, is to develop an updated, transparent and indisputable electoral file.
