Hubert Velud (photo) resigned as Togo national coach on Tuesday to take over at French Third Division side Creteil, the club announced.
The 51-year-old, will be having his second spell in charge of the club.
"Hubert Velud in his first term in charge of Creteil guided us to our best ever season in 2005/2006 when we finished eighth in the Second Division with 54 points," read a statement from the club.
Velud replaces Laurent Fournier, who had been in the post since June 2009 and who guided them to fourth place in the Third Division last term, six points short of promotion.
