Work Methods

Togo, which made its entry at the UNSC as non-permanent member in January for a duration of two years, has been invited alongside the 4 other new members (Pakistan, Azerbaïdjan, Guatemala et Maroc) for a several days retreat, just outside of NYC, in order to get familial with the council's work.

During this meeting, the 15 member states will meet the 5 new member in order to get initiated at the work of the executive UN body.

The main goals consist in sharing the work methods and identifying the priorities of the UNSC.

On Thursday, the Togolese representative at the Security Council Kodjo Menan, will attend a briefing on the situation in South Sudan where a UN mission is deployed (UNMISS)
