Faure Gnassingbé sent a congratulatory message to his Ivorian counterpart, Alassane Ouattara (photo), on Friday, to mark the 51st anniversary of the independence of his country.
"This is a new opportunity to congratulate President Ouattara on his accession of the highest office in the Ivory Coast and reaffirmed the availability of Togo and the Togolese people to work towards strengthening the relations of friendship, fraternity and solidarity between the two countries ", wrote the President of Togo.
Mr Gnassingbé has also expressed the support and the sadness of Togo after the road accident that killed thirty people in Ivory Coast.
