President Faure Gnassingbé welcomed Benny Omer (photo), the Israeli ambassador to Togo, on Monday.The focus of discussion, the political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
"We have raised the possibility of developing cooperation between the two countries in agriculture and the training of young Togolese in Israel, but also to encourage the private sector to develop joint projects and attract foreign direct investment to Togo," said Mr. Omer.
Prime Minister Gilbert Houngbo, accompanied by several ministers and representatives of the private sector, had visited Israel two years ago.
