By Wednesday afternoon, Togo will no longer have debts to France.
Paris is expected to announce a 100% cancellation of an amount exceeding 66 billion CFA francs.
An agreement will be signed within a few hours between the Ambassador of France in Togo, Dominique Renaux and the Minister of Economy and Finance, Adji Otéth Ayassor (photo).
Togo has benefited from a cancellation of 80% of its foreign debt, at the end of last year, on achieving the completion point of the HIPC initiative in record time.
