Hillary Clinton (photo), the US Secretary of State, will hold a one-day visit to Lome next Tuesday in order to hold talks with President Faure Gnassignbe to discuss matters pertaining to the UNSC, according to untogo.org.
Togo currently holds a non- permanent membership at the council since the beginning of the year.
Two issues are particularly viewed seriously by the US : Syria and of course Iran's nuclear program.
Secretary Clinton wishes to discuss these matters with the president in addition to the war on terror, the fight against drugs and high-seas piracy, a chronic problem plaguing the Gulf of Guinea.
