About 50 Lebanese nationals living in Ivory Coast arrived in Togo on Sunday and Monday, taking advantage of the rotations by the French army from the Abidjan airport. Some were greeted by friends and relatives, while others preferred taking a commercial flight to Paris and Beirut.
The Lebanese Foreign Minister thanked the Togolese authorities on Tuesday for their hospitality.
Like the French, the situation of the Lebanese nationals settled in Ivory Coast have become particularly difficult.
During the weekend and until yesterday, seven Lebanese were wounded by gunfire, including a three year old girl.
About 80,000 Lebanese are living in Ivory Coast.
