Togo is richer than the DRC, Niger, Burundi and Zimbabwe, but is much less than Benin, Kenya, Mauritania and Congo (Brazzaville). This emerges from a study conducted by Global Finance magazine, published on Thursday. 182 countries were studied.
In 2011, the three richest nations in the world are Qatar, Luxembourg and Norway.
The calculations are based on GDP per capita. It is $832 in Togo, against $1460 in Benin, 34,250 in France, 36,176 in the UAE and 52,964 in Norway.
