Togo's rotative presidency of the UNSC for the month of february expired this wednesday. The country will continue to seat for two years in the most influential organ of the UN.
Tuesday night, the Togolese representative at the UN, Kodjo Menan (picture) hosted a reception at the UN headquarters so as to mark the end of this mandate alongside with the ambassadors of the member-states of the council.
During the past months, Togo has had to manage sensitive issues such as the Syrian crisis and organized a major symposium headed by President Faure Gnassingbé on the struggle against insecurity in Africa.
The United Kingdom will take Togo's place at the Presidency.
