The national electoral commission of Togo (Céni) invites the Togolese government to ask for the postponement of the match Togo-Mali of the last day of the qualifications for the African Nations Cup of football Ghana 2008.
According to the president of the electoral commission, Tozim Potopéré, this postponement can be explained by the fact that the date of October 12th is the end of the electoral campaign of Togo. The matches of group 9 must be played on September 9th, but they have been postponed because of the presidential election in Sierra Leone.
The composition of the different group will be achieved by drawing straws on October 19th in Accra, Ghana.
In case the proposition of Togo has been agreed by the African football confederation (CAF), the matches of the group 9 could be played after the drawing straws.
