Togo and Morocco tied 1-1 on Sunday after a dramatic late goal by Morocco offset Togo's early strike.
Moustapha Salifou put Togo in the lead with a 4th-minute goal. But Morocco's Adel Taarabt, a 65th-minute substitution, smashed through Togo's defense to score an equalizer in injury time.Togo made its debut at the 2006 World Cup in Germany and is now second in Group A with five points from four games, one behind leader Gabon which has six points from three.
Gabon next plays Cameroon's 'indomitable lions' on Wednesday. Cameroon, historically one of Africa's strongest teams, is struggling in third place with just four points, one ahead of last place Morocco.
