Pascal Bodjona, private secretary to the Togolese president on Thursday afternoon in Lome, inaugurated a new press centre worth about 46.3 million francs CFA. (US$1= 500 Francs CFA).
The centre, located in the centre of Lome, comprises a large meeting room, three offices, a secretariat, a waiting room, a news-stand, two lecture rooms, a kitchen, a bar and a big terrace.It also hosts one of the resources centres for improvement and re- training of journalists.
The former Press Centre had been rented since 1996 by the Union of Independent Journalists in Togo (UJIT).
