Togo will host the 6th ECOWAS Trade Fair, in November. Information was confirmed by the Commission President, James Victor Gbeho.
The Togolese Minister of Commerce, Artème Ahoumey Zunu welcomed the decision by saying that his country would do everything possible to make this event a commercial success, despite the short notice. Initially, the fair was to take place in Ivory Coast in late 2010, but it was impossible to organize because of the troubles.
The Fair will begin on November 25th for two weeks and will be held in collaboration with the 9th International Fair of Lomé.
The 2011 aims to promote regional integration and trade between member countries. The theme is also: "Strengthening the Community trade through public-private partnership."
This large business meeting is held every two years. Togo has already hosted the fair in 2003.
