The government finally agreed to amend certain chapters of the draft law on public demonstrations which in recent weeks has created much controversy.
A committee, comprising of lawyers, representatives of political parties and organizations defending human rights, has made recommendations to relax the conditions for holding public demonstrations in Togo.
Recommendations were accepted by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Pascal Bodjona (photo).
The bill will soon be submitted to the parliament.
